quiet fridays newsletter ed1: finding visibility without shouting

Hey fellow introvert!

Welcome to your first QUIET FRIDAYS newsletter!  I’m so glad you’re here. Today we are going to talk about visibility…..Eeeeekk!!

Don’t fret, there’s a method to the madness. You'll receive insightinspiration, a reframe, and reflections to help you tackle this pain point.

Insight:
The Silent Struggle: Visibility
So, let’s talk about something that often trips up us introverted leaders: visibility. It can feel like everyone around you is shouting their ideas from the rooftops, while you’re just trying to figure out if your thoughts are worth sharing at all. Trust me, you’re not alone in feeling this way!

Inspiration:
Visibility at Work: An Introvert’s Talk
I had an insightful chat with Guilherme Ferreira, VP of Global Marketing Mondelez, titled 📺“How to Be More Visible at Work: Challenges & Hurdles”. We explored the question: can you really be a leader without being visible? Guilherme shared valuable insights on overcoming the hurdles introverted leaders face in the workplace. Check it out to gain some fresh perspectives.

Reframe:
Visibility isn’t about self-promotion—it’s about sharing value
Let’s flip the script on visibility. Instead of seeing it as this scary mountain to climb, think of it as a chance to share what you know and contribute to the conversation. It doesn’t mean you have to be the loudest one in the room! Start small: What’s one small step you can take this week to boost your visibility? Perhaps a Linkedin Post?

Reflections:
Questions for you

  1. What specific fears hold you back from being more visible in your role?

  2. Can you recall a situation where you didn’t share your thoughts, and how might it have changed the outcome if you had?

Thanks for being part of this community! I can’t wait to explore these challenges and victories with you. Remember, your voice matters—even if it’s soft.

Cheers,
Sadaf - Executive Coach
